Log of the first bike ride to the South Pole. Daniel Burton, owner of Epic Biking rode a bike from Hercules Inlet on the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole. It has been attempted by others but Daniel Burton is the only person to actually do it.
Looking at the web cam photos of union glacier I was hoping the resupply flight was able to go out yesterday, but it didn't happen. So now tomorrow is the earliest possible flight.
On the positive side, I helped Pablo build a stable for his new nativity set. I guess he accidentally stepped on the last one and broke the head off of Joseph. Anyway the plan is to finish it tonight, and I will be around to help.
Dan, Last Sunday we learned the storm has you held up in Chile. Heard in the news this week that a British Group, including Prince Harry is caught in the storm in Antarctica and cannot proceed. They are hiking to the South Pole. Hope the storm abates soon and you can get to Antarctica and start biking! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Be careful out there!
